IASC members are invited to submit proposals for suitable topics and organisers of
invited papers
meetings to be organised individually by the IASC or jointly
by the IASC and some other Section during
the 57th ISI Session
(Durban, August 16-22, 2009). The proposals shall be submitted to
the IASC Programme Committee
through the online submission on this page by not later than January 15th, 2007.
The Committee will rank proposals according to the topics of
greatest interest to IASC with special attention to topics not dealt
with during the previous ISI Sessions. Moreover, the Committee shall
take into account that the final list of organisers shall include
some names from developing and transitional countries and shall have
a good gender distribution.
This invitation is according to the following the general
rule of the scientific programme at ISI session:
The ISI Programme Coordinating Committee is in charge of overall
coordination of the scientific programme. The programme
committees of ISI – the ISI General Topics Committee, and its
Sections, namely the Bernoulli Society, the IASC, the IASS, the
IAOS, the IASE and the ISBIS - have jointly prepared the
scientific programme of the Session, drawing on suggestions
received from many members. The Chairs of the committees are
responsible for inviting and instructing organisers for each
meeting. Each of the six Section Programme Committee Chairs is
responsible for their own Section's subset of the programme; the
ISI General Topics Committee Chair is responsible for its subset
of the programme.
